Dan Baker is a nationally known speaker, teacher and consultant to the trucking industry. He travels extensively throughout the US and Canada, working with numerous trucking companies of all sizes and types. He speaks at meetings and gatherings of all kinds, from driver safety meetings, to award dinners, to state and national conventions, to in-company seminars and symposiums.
Essentially, his message is the people side of trucking. His presentations are always fun, funny, full of jokes, stories and one-liners. But he never departs far from his basic theme that if you’re in trucking today, first of all you’re in the people business and secondly, you’re in the trucking business. Regardless of the Trucking Industry’s business cycle, Dan is in big demand throughout the country.
Dan began his working years as a Methodist Minister in San Antonio, Texas. After leaving the ministry, he evolved into a professional speaker, and since connecting with the trucking industry in the early 1980’s, has dedicated the majority of his time, effort and interest toward helping the truckers make sense out of their very complicated, complex world.
After having lived in Bulverde, Texas for almost 40 years, he and his wife, Betty, have moved to Fort Worth, Texas. He will tell you that you can take the boy out of Bulverde, but you can’t take Bulverde out of the boy. So, he is still well-known for his famous “Bull Jokes”, and his unique array of down-home humor. He will still tell you that if you’re in trucking today, first of all, you’re in the people business, and secondly, you’re in the trucking business.

I started building engines in 1965 and got involved with the trucking industry in 1969. I have been building high performance diesel engines since 1977 and have enjoyed working with owner-operators for the past 32 years. I love to snow ski and snowmobile and participate in an Owner Operator Snowmobile Conference each winter. I also love to ride the Harley, its a great way to free the mind. I currently write for 8 magazines about high performance diesel engines, work 8 truck shows each year and really enjoy doing the Power Hour show with Kevin. I have a 1989 T-600 KW that rides on 9 air bags and one ping tank. She is a pleasure to drive, BC4 350 set up to 500 hp., single over 18 speed with 3:42 rear gears. I built this truck to pull my RV and toy trailer and the over-all length is 83 feet.
The success of our customers and carriers is backed by a team of ambitious, driven professionals.
TRAFFIX’s roots go back to 1974, when Chuck Snow left his family’s floral import business to answer the call of the open road and become the owner-operator of his own rig. Five years later, he launched TRAFFIX as a load broker and third-party logistics company focused on injecting a customer service philosophy into an industry which at the time was riddled with regulation, inefficiencies and unfair pricing practices.
When George Gallamore got out of High School, he wanted to be somebody, see the world and get an education. He went into the Marine Corps and got stuck behind a desk. After the Marine Corps he wanted the same things and got stuck behind a desk...again.
While being stuck behind a desk may seem boring to some, George was able to learn a great deal about communication, leadership, negotiations and management . Okay, so George DID get bored behind the desk and 12 years ago George left the desk life.
For the past 12 years George has travelled all over the country inspiring people to do their best when it comes to presentation skills, time management, negotiations and leadership. He has worked with companies big, small and in between.
George believes in one simple word when it comes to training. Edutainment. Education and entertainment are two important pieces to George. He believes that laughter is the window that allows the message into the mind.

4 TIME ALUMNI
Prior to my first CMC I was just driving the truck, I had no idea what to do and how to do it. The CMC was my first lesson on trucking and business in general. The week after the CMC I went home and turned my file cabinet upside down and reorganized because I finally had direction on where to go with my business. At my first CMC I had a truck note and leased on to a company pulling their trailer, 6 years later I own 2 trucks and 2 trailers under my own authority, and I attribute all of that to the CMC.
6 TIME ALUMNI
The whole thing has allowed me to become more profitable, it is a great place to network with other people. I’ve made alot of friends that I can bounce ideas off of.
