HOW DOES IMMUNOFLORA WORK?
While most immune defense products only partially activate immune cells, LC-Plasma activates pDCs, which in turn activate critical immune cells for comprehensive immune support.

LC-PLASMA
Lactococcus lactis Strain plasma (LC-Plasma) is a novel, heat-killed probiotic shown to uniquely activate the immune system's master regulator; pDCs (plasmacytoid dendritic cells). Through the priming of these critical immune cells, LC-Plasma proactively supports the body's appropriate response to immune challenges.
LARCH ARABINOGALACTAN
Larch arabinogalactan is a natural water-extracted prebiotic from the Western larch tree, shown to possess important immune-supportive properties. Larch arabinogalactan nourishes the gut-immune system by enriching beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria, and supports a healthy gut lining through the production of butyrate and other short-chain fatty acids (SCFA’s).
HOW DOES IMMUNOFLORA WORK?
While most immune defense products only partially activate immune cells, LC-Plasma activates pDCs, which in turn activate critical immune cells for comprehensive immune support.
WHAT ARE PLASMACYTOID DENDRITIC CELLS?
pDCs are a rare type of immune cell that act as potent modulators of immune response. pDCs are best known for their extraordinary ability to produce high levels of type I interferons in the body – signaling proteins that play a critical role in immune health.
Essentially, pDCs play the role of “commander in chief” in the immune system by activating other immune cells.
Conventional lactic acid probiotics can activate certain types of immune cells, such as natural killer (NK) cells or macrophages. However, they cannot activate pDCs which direct and order an array of other immune cells. It was previously thought impossible for any lactic acid bacteria to activate pDCs.

Q - Is this a probiotic supplement?
A - No. Probiotics by definition are live microorganisms that can provide health benefits to the host. Immunoflora contains what are known as ‘paraprobiotics,’ which are microorganisms that have been deliberately heat-killed or inactivated through other means. The lactic acid bacteria contained in Immunoflora have been heat-killed to release the plasma in the cells.
Q - Don’t the probiotic bacteria have to be alive to work?
A - Not necessarily. When previously live probiotic cells are heat-killed, they release a complex soup of cellular metabolites, in what is essentially the cytoplasm from within the cells. These cellular metabolites act as biological response modifiers, and can offer an excellent option to support one’s overall health and immune status.
Q - How do I know it’s working?
A - Immunoflora is formulated to broadly bolster immune health by activating both the innate and adaptive immune system, and is supported by nine human clinical trials. Immune health status, general resiliency, and digestive function are the most often reported benefits upon initial use. Additional research also suggests that Immunoflora may support work productivity and skin health.
Q - Since Immunoflora ‘activates’ the immune system, is it then possible to ‘overactivate’ the immune system?
A - While the natural ingredients in Immunoflora do activate the immune system, activation does not mean imbalanced. Rather, the food-based ingredients utilized in Immunoflora are intended to work with the body to provide broad spectrum optimization of immune health – not to overstimulate the immune system in a synthetic manner. Ideally, the immune system is continually functioning as a well-tuned orchestra, active and able to respond with precision and speed when required to do so. In effect, Immunoflora is designed to keep the immune system ‘tuned’ to a responsive state despite life’s challenges. All ingredients in Immunoflora are GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe), and have undergone multiple human clinical studies supporting long term safety, even at excessive intake levels.
Q - What are the innate and adaptive immune systems?
A - The immune system is a highly complex and interconnected system that has two pathways to address foreign elements. The ‘innate’ arm of the immune system is our non-specific first line of defense that targets anything viewed as foreign in the body, whereas the ‘adaptive’ arm of the immune system is as a specific response to a foreign element – essentially, an immune response that your body learns. In supporting both the innate and adaptive arms of the immune system, Immunoflora offers broad spectrum support of these two critical arms.
